*Puzzle sizes are in inches. Digital photo dimensions are in pixels.

Use the chart above as a guideline to determine the size of photo preferred for a quality print but keep in mind that some photos enlarge better than others. You may always email us your digital file and we will let you know what how large of puzzle you can order.

We can accept all major graphic file formats including jpg, tiff, psd, eps, ai, and pdf. Please submit separate files for each individual image.

All puzzles are laid out by hand. If the photo proportions do not fit, the photo may be cropped to fit the puzzle. If the photo cannot be cropped without losing important information a colored border may be added to the photo.

In order to print your image all the way to the edge of the puzzle, we must cut off a small amount of the picture when cutting the puzzle. The part of the image that is cut off is called the bleed. Most of our puzzles require a 1/8" full bleed which means 1/8" all the way around the image is cut off when cutting the puzzle.

Biggest Puzzle In The World puzzles require a larger bleed since we must cut out knobs around the edge of the puzzle to interconnect with other BPITW sections. When choosing images for the Biggest Puzzle In The World, please allow for this extra bleed.

When your image does not allow for a bleed, we will add a solid color border so that the important parts of your picture do not get cut into.

Usually, if you cannot obtain a high resolution digital photo, it is best to send us the ORIGINAL photo print to scan for you.  This is at your own risk and Up In Pieces does not hold any responsibility for photos lost or damaged during shipping.  If you are unsure, please contact us.

We scan up to 8"x10" photos or artwork for puzzles for free. For larger scans additional fees may apply.

Yes, your photo will be returned with your puzzle order.

Many pictures posted on the internet are not high enough quality to produce a quality puzzle print. Also, there may be copyright restrictions on the file. If you are unsure whether a photo you found will make a quality puzzle, please email it to us and we will reply with our recommendations. You may also download our copyright release form if you need to get permission from a copyright holder to reproduce their image into a puzzle.

Yes, we can accept any artwork for a puzzle. This can be a picture, a company logo, a collage you made yourself, etc. If you would like us to layout a collage from multiple pictures that you provide, additional fees apply. Collage prices are $3 per digital photo and/or $5 per photo we must scan.  You will receive a digital proof for approval before manufacturing. Please contact us if you have questions.
